Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary, It is the most popular wildlife sanctuary.It is 60 km far from Nagpur.The jungle is spread around of the Umred, Paun, Bhivapur and up to kuhi Taluka. The Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary has also connection with Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve through forest along Wainganga River.This sanctuary is house of resident breeding tigers.This sanctuary has crowd of tigers and wild dogs also rare animals. like flying squirrels ,lizard and brock.
It's bounded roughly by the Wainganga River and the Gosikhurd Dam on the northeast, State Highway 9 and Bhiwapur Town on the south, Umred on the west and a narrow 10 km long array of 600–800 m hills to the northwest. It is found 40 km north of Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve and 50 km southwest of Nagzira Wildlife Sanctury & 60 km from Nagpur, Maharashtra. Pench Tiger Reserve is 80 km to the northwest
